Finally, a chance to put the camera down, get some much-needed surf time, get in shape for the month to come in Fiji, and spend quality hang time with some of my favourite people.


Meet Toshie … my sunrise surfing buddy, Japanese-Australian mother, mad healthy food cook, timelapse master, and super stylish hula hooper. Her husband, Michael Cundith shapes rad boards and they sell the softest Basil wetsuits from Japan ever.

Meet Alex Frings: dark chocolate covered gogi berry lover, water photographer, and rainbow chaser. We went on plenty of adventures this month chasing down double rainbows, golden hours, and crystal clear water during the massive drought of swell.

And of course, Alison Teal. We’ve been travelling, working, and shooting together since the beginning of the year and it’s been an absolute blast. Get ready for a massive upload of Fiji photos with her in the near future.


Before jumping off to Fiji, I had to get up to Goldy and get in a last session with mates from last year.  Clean, micro-sized waves for baby barrels, bodysurfing, and getting weird.

Of course, none of those activities were photographed but the less-exciting ‘meantime’s were:
