I met Katie through mutual friends at Chapman University and was honoured that she was asking me to photograph her wedding. She has such a sweet spirit and enjoyable presence, which made me even more pleased to work with her and David. Unfortunately it was raining during their entire wedding day at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana, which didn’t let up for an ounce of sunshine, but I think that’s part of what was so special about their wedding as well as it being a creative challenge for me and my assistant photographer, Nathan Worden to adapt to. I think I could get used to jumping on a plane to photograph a wedding the next day. ;)
