Hey Sarah – I caught one of your images on magicseaweed the other day and checked out your blog. I dig your stuff – some great portraits and surf shots. You shoot with a 5DmkII? On the gimmesomesumma post were you shooting with a tilt-shift or photoshopping? I like the format to your bog too – easy to sort through what you’ve got and nice to the eye.
Looks like you’re spending some time in Australia. If you haven’t been to Noosa get there. Kinda crowded surf wise but unreal place to surf and shoot photos. I’m a teacher from Kauai and took a year off to travel/work/surf/shoot photos. I’m in China now, heading to Thailand soon then off to Australia. Thanks for your comment. For the past month I had borrowed a friend’s MK2 just to give it a go, and rented out the Canon 24mm tilt shift from uni for a few weeks. Absolutely love that lens! I’m thinking of selling my 24/1.4 and just buying that one instead… it’s way too much fun to use.
Just got back from Noosa the other day! I’m absolutely in love with it … just wish both times I’ve been up there that there was some surf to shoot! :( Maybe next time I have a chance to visit (or live in) OZ again, I’ll hit it on some swell.
