singapore – group portrait video
|
For the month of January, I am in Singapore for a “Cross Cultural Exchange” Documentary production class. 15 Chapman students are here in a class with 22 Singaporean Chapman students at Ngee Ann Poly in Bukit Timah, so we’ve been split up into 7 teams and are going to be making a short documentary on 1 of the “7 deadly sins,” related to Singaporean culture. Our first assignment was a “Group Portrait” – a 2 minute piece with as many locations as there are team members that represents us without us being in it. This is what we came up with: http://vimeo.com/18695514 Each of us choose a location that fit us – Sentosa, Kopi shop, Arab Street, Mt. Faber, Esplanade – set up a timelapse with 1 camera, and ran around capturing footage on another. We got started at 5:30am, and finished around 10pm, then spent the rest of the night editing it. |
